Picture, if you will, standing in line at your local grocery market as you await your turn to move ahead to the cashier and complete your transaction. Bored, you look around idly and notice that a fellow shopper has just wheeled his or her shopping cart to the end of the line in which you are waiting.
Just another shopper you think to yourself until, without any particular warning, this shopper simply abandons his or her shopping cart at the end of the line and just walks out of the store.
"What could possibly have happened", you ask yourself.

Well, we ask the same questions almost every day.
We don't have real shopping carts, of course, and walking out of an e-commerce store is obviously a somewhat more virtual than physical stroll.
But, all that being said, we do receive reports about abandoned shopping carts on a daily basis. These reports show us the storage shed that the shopper was considering and where along the checkout aisle the shopper simply abandoned the shopping cart and walked out of our e-store.
