There is a reason that storage shed producers do not produce, let’s say, a 1’ x 1’ or a 30’ x 40’ storage shed. Nobody ever asks for a storage closet or a storage mall.
Instead, customers do ask for a mid-size storage shed that has ample space for a reasonable price that can readily fit somewhere in the backyard. While one size certainly does not fit all needs, the storage shed producers do produce an inordinate number of 10’ x 8’ storage and garden sheds. Why? We find that our customers are very content and comfortable with the 10' x 8' footprint.

That is a lot of sheds. Most importantly, these 10x8 storage sheds offer a wide array of attributes for storage, gardening and every other purpose for which you require a shed.
Of note, each of these spacious storage sheds has double doors that can accommodate large items of lawn equipment or storage boxes. The Duramax Woodbridge Vinyl 10x8 Shed, in fact, has double doors with an opening that is 5’1”.
Fully seven of these 10x8 storage sheds have a gambrel roof line that creates additional storage volume and vertical storage space. The Arrow Yorktown 10x8 Storage Shed, for instance, has 7’2” of height at the peak of the roof.
Several of the 10x8 storage sheds have an east-west orientation such that the double doors are placed under the gable side of the roof for extra door height. The Gable Style Wood Shed 8x10, for example, has double doors with a very tall 6’ of height.
While one size does not fit all customers, the 10’ x 8’ storage shed footprint does fit the needs of many customers. Hence the numerous options in this storage shed size.
